Harvest Festival Service

Rev Mark Bailey’s sermon for the festival service was his take on the BBC Great British Bake-off when Carol and Mary went ‘head to head’ in the technical challenge. Their task was to blend a sponge cake mixture by hand using their baking skills learnt over a life time.
Mark used the jovial but competitive atmosphere to illustrate that, like Bake Off, the Church is a community of a mix of people from all walks of life, young and old, encouraging and helping each other.
